Lubbock ISD Trustees approve two new executive directors

 

The Lubbock ISD Board of Trustees named the executive directors of fine arts and communications and community relations at their meeting this morning.

Andrew Babcock is the new executive director of fine arts. He has served as the assistant director of fine arts in Lubbock ISD since 2015 and previously held the director of bands position at Lubbock Christian University from 2009-2015. Babcock has a bachelor of music degree with educator certification from Abilene Christian University and a master of music education degree from Texas Tech University.

Jeff Klotzman is the new executive director of communications and community relations. He comes to Lubbock ISD from Ramar Communications, where he has served as news director and anchor for FOX34 since 2000. He has been in the news business since 1983 and is an active volunteer in the Lubbock community. Klotzman has a bachelor of arts degree in journalism and a master of arts degree in mass communications, both from Texas Tech University.
